Allen had to work on Thanksgiving this year, so we had our own little Thanksgiving Dinner on Friday. It was just our little family, but it was nice. It was the first time I cooked a turkey, and it actually turned out pretty good... and I finally got to use my platter (a gift on our wedding day). I felt like I was baking for two days (pies, rolls, cheesecake, turkey, etc). It seemed like a lot of mess & hassle for a 20 minute meal. But it was worth it, and I will always remember our first Thanksgiving as a little family. We really DO have a lot to be thankful for.
I'm such a dork. I just had to take a picture of the turkey.

I love your place settings! Very asian inspired. And, I wish I'd taken any pictures at all of thankgiving. You're not a dork.
