I just have to say that we love Cheney. It's nice to be so close to Spokane (with a Target, Wal-Mart, and whatever else), but such a relief to come back to this small town, where everything feels so relaxed. We just love the small-town feel. Behind our townhouse we have a big field of wheat, so we don't have to look out and see someone else's house or hear a lot of traffic buzzing by. We can even hear coyotes back there at night and watch the sun set over the hill. We have a fenced in back yard (that we share with a few neighbors) and a small playground back there that Moochy loves to play in with his new friend "Kiki".
I have to say, though, that I am a little worried about the winter. I don't like driving in the snow or being out in it (unless I'm snowboarding), but I do love to look at it out my window. LOL Yesterday morning we took Allen to work and I was surprised that it was so cold! It's not even October yet and it was about 40 degrees. The wind off that hill behind our place is going to make it REALLY cold in the winter.
Allen got a new job working at one of the local hospitals. It's not exactly his dream job, but it will pay the bills until he can find something within his field of study. He'll probably be working two to three 12-hour shifts on the weekends, which will allow him to use his weekdays for studying and spending time with us. We are so proud of him. He works so hard to allow me to stay at home with Mooch. I know it's not easy for him, but I sure am greatful that he allows me to have my "dream job." I sure love my time with Moochy, and I can't imagine missing any of it.
I'll take this moment to brag a little about Moochismo. He loves to count. Sometimes when we wake up in the morning we just lay there and count our fingers and toes. He can (kind of) count to twenty by himself (except 13-19 all sound the same. LOL). It's so fun to watch him learn and grow. I wonder how he'll respond to Toh-Toh. I'm sure he'll be such a good big brother.
We are so blessed that things have fallen into place so easily for us. The Lord has answered our prayers, and it makes me realize that we really ARE supposed to be here at this time in our lives. The next two years will probably be very challenging, but we are greatful that the Lord has a hand in things and He continues to bless us.
